Rebate figures show an as-of date and link to official sources where possible. Results are estimates for guidance only. Confirm eligibility, product choice and installed pricing with an accredited installer before you buy.
Editorial approach
The calculator maths and guide copy are maintained against published Commonwealth and state scheme notes. When rebate settings change, we update the model and show the verification date next to the figures. Detailed assumptions live on the methodology page so you can see exactly what we assume about sizing, STC discounts, savings and payback.
We prioritise practical planning numbers over sales copy: size bands, net cost after rebates, and what changes the payback story. Brand guides compare indicative catalogue midpoints, not sponsored rankings.
How we make money
The calculator and guides are free to use. Today the site is supported by optional Google AdSense ads where enabled. We do not currently send you to paid installer quote partners from the calculator.
If we add referral or affiliate quote links later, we will disclose them clearly on this page and next to the relevant button. Ads and any future referrals will not change the rebate maths shown in the methodology.
